Gold and Platinum Numbers: The Affordable Smartnumber Alternative

Some businesses have the coolest 1300 numbers and 1800 numbers! There are numbers that spell words, like 1300 ALLTEL (1300 255 835) and also numbers with great repeating patterns, like 1300 50 10 50.

These numbers are ideal for marketing businesses because they’re easy to say, easy to remember and easy to dial. And the good news is that it’s easy to get one for your own business.

One option is to visit the smartnumbers® web site and search the phonewords and patterned numbers they have available. If you see one you like, you can purchase the rights to use it. (Find out more about how to get a smartnumber here.)

However, a more affordable option is to see what numbers are available from 1300 number and 1800 number carriers. Many will often offer patterned numbers for a fraction of the price that you’d pay for a smartnumber!

Even though many of the best numbers have been reserved as smartnumbers (or are already in use), there are still a lot of good numbers available. At Alltel, we search through the list of available numbers every day and reserve the best ones (with patterns or repeating digits) for the exclusive use of our customers.

There are three types of numbers we look for in particular:

  • Numbers with really good repeating patterns or more than one pair of repeated digits (for example 1300 88 00 06). These numbers are very easy to remember, so tend to get snapped up quickly when we list them on our site. We call these Platinum numbers, and charge a one-off fee of $99 for them. Our Platinum numbers are often more memorable than the smartnumbers that cost you $250 or more!
  • Numbers with at least one pair of repeated digits or simple repeating pattern (for example 1300 799 948). Again, these numbers are easier to remember than regular numbers, but they're not quite as good as the platinum ones. We call these Gold numbers, and charge a one-off fee of $49 for them.
  • Pairs of patterned numbers that are almost the same, but usually have one digit different (for example 1300 255 835 and 1300 255 855). These are ideal for any business looking for 1300 numbers or 1800 numbers for both their phone and fax services. We call these Phone/Fax sets, and charge a one-off fee of $49 for each number pair.

Note that these numbers are NOT leased to you. After the one-off payment, the numbers are yours for as long as you keep them connected. You can even transfer them to another carrier (although we hope you don't!).

In addition to our premuim numbers, we also offer a good selection of regular 1300 numbers and 1800 numbers. Many of these have repeated digits in them, but they're not as easy to remember as our Gold and Platinum numbers, so they're available free of charge.

Our Platinum, Gold and Phone/Fax Set numbers tend to go fast, so if you see one you're interested in, the best bet is to call us immediately on 1300 255 835 and get us to reserve it for you! There are new numbers available every day, so you usually have plenty to choose from.

We also have access to all available 13 numbers. There is a lot less demand for these numbers though, so we don't list them on our web site. If you want a 13 number, please call our customer service team on 1300 ALLTEL, and we’ll let you know what is available.

Our 1300 number and 1800 number plans come with no contracts, no flagfall, no call connection fee, no monthly minimum spend and low call rates ... all backed up by great customer service.

So there you have it. Alltel's Platinum, Gold and Phone/Fax Numbers are easy to remember, great for marketing, immediately available, and a fraction of the price of smartnumbers.
