Voice2Email Can do a Lot More than Regular Voicemail

Voicemail (also called voice to email) is a super-convenient tool for capturing caller details at times when you're not able to take a call (for example, when you're away from your desk, already on the phone, or outside of normal office hours).

One of the main problems with traditional voicemail systems is that you don't always realise when someone has left a message. On some phone systems, you don't know there's a message until the next time you pick up the phone to make a call and you hear a strange whirring noise in the background. On other systems, a light flashes on the phone (but if you're like me, you might not see it for several hours if you're focussed on other things or if your phone is not in your direct line of sight).

When someone leaves an urgent message for you, you need a system that notifies you immediately. That's where Voice2Email comes in.

How does Voice2Email work?

Your calls are answered with a custom recording that asks callers to leave a message for you. That message is then converted to a sound file (e.g. WAV) and sent to you immediately as an email attachment.

This gives you quick and convenient access to your messages from anywhere you have email access.

Voice2Email is especially useful if you're away from the office (e.g. when you're on the road, outside of regular business hours, or even when you're on vacation). You no longer need to log in to your business voicemail at regular intervals to check for messages. Instead, you can receive email notifications on your laptop or phone, and know immediately when someone leaves a message.

Don't miss out on important calls or call back too late. Immediate notification means you're always able to respond to calls in a timely manner.

Notes to self

You can also use Voice2Email as a convenient way to leave reminder notes for yourself. This is especially useful when you remember something important at a really inconvenient time!

In less time than it takes most of us to write an email, send a text message, or log in to a calendar to set up an appointment, you can simply phone your work number and leave a message. That reminder will then be waiting in your email when you get back to work.

Competition hotlines

Voice2Email is especially useful as a competition hotline (or for any other service where you want to repeat the same message to all callers and get them to leave a message).

When you sign up for a Voice2Email service, you receive a local (02, 03, 07 or 08) phone number. That means that there's no need to pay for a dedicated phone line or receptionist to answer the calls. Simply redirect a 1300 number or 1800 number to your Voice2Email service (or even give out the direct Voice2Email number), and it will look after itself.

Callers will hear your custom recording, and then leave messages that you can have sent to a dedicated email address.

With plans starting from just $10 a month (for 1000 minutes), Voice2Email is a very affordable way to ensure that you know when your callers leave a message!
